Porsche Boxster Gets Blown

In late 2005, the House of Boost teamed up with Imagine Auto Inc. to develop the first centrifugal supercharger system for the Porsche Boxster (986 series). This has now resulted the most powerful bolt-on performance product available for these cars.

The House of Boost got involved with the intial design & fabrication of the hardware and Imagine Auto was then able to complete this system using GIAC Tuning software and their knowledge of Porsche Automobiles. The critieria for this project was to make it as easy as possible to install, retain great reliability & durability, yet provide the largest gains of any other product currently available for these cars. This was the kind of project HOB likes to get involved with!

This system uses the ATI/ProCharger C1 Self-Contained Supercharger, and produces 5 psi boost at the redline of a stock engine. This boost level is able to produce a 50% gain in the RWHP. For more information regarding this system, please contact Imagine Auto Inc. at (913) 310-9927 or visit their web site at www.imagineauto.com.

28' Eliminator Gets Stuffed

With only 5 psi of boost as a matter of fact. Stock, this cat already skims the water at a clip of 82 mph, while spinning a 4-blade prop. The HOUSE of BOOST’s goal with this boat is to push her past the 100 mph barrier with just 5 psi and a propeller change. We have no doubts that this mark will come with ease as soon as the weather allows us some in-water testing. And you thought we just did cars…

Brent R. Steps Up to the Pump

Or shall we say, “pumps” to be more accurate. After running out of fuel at the top of the 629 RWHP dyno pull, we knew that Brent would be the next in line for the HOUSE of BOOST 1000 HP Return-less Fuel System. That’s right, we did say “1000 HP” and “Return-less” in the same sentence. It’s a new product currently undergoing longevity testing, and Brent’s car will be another test bed for it. We wanted to push the factory EEC tuning to it’s limits, while having killer power and mild manors. The HOUSE of BOOST would like to thank MC Racing (www.gomcracing.com) for their killer knowledge of EEC tuning–without their patience and expertise this project would have never got off the ground. With 3 pumps on board this car, Brent’s Cobra puts the word “system” in Fuel System.

This Supercharged 911 Starts Phase 2

After a full body restoration, the motor is being pulled and refreshed for it’s new life under boost. The HOUSE of BOOST is planning on stuffing 9+ psi of boost into this little Porsche 911, to make the PCA events just a bit more fun. So when are we going to upgrade the brakes? Check back for details as this 911 gets it’s new lease on life, after being stolen and suffering from a blown motor before it’s recovery.

VW’s Aren’t Fast

Well, we don’t know what you’ve heard, but I can tell you that VR6 + Boost = Fun. Though this project is in it’s tear-down and planning phase of construction, it’s still worth showing a sneak peak for those of you that check out our site and love VW’s. The car was completely stripped and painted Porsche Silver in Grandview MO and looks stunning day or night, thanks to the makeover. The plan so far is something of the average: built motor, large single turbo, fuel system, and as always, a stand-alone to control it. The wheels and tires haven’t been picked out yet, but with Dorian’s love for “all things euro” you better believe it will have an offset and look that’ll make anyone in the U.K. blush. The goals for this car are to produce 600+ FWHP, run in the 10’s, and be able to make the commute to the day job. No matter what it takes, we reach all of them!

Alex M. Joining the HOUSE

…of BOOST, with a mild helping in the psi department. If you look up the word “driver” in the dictionary, you’ll see a picture of Alex. For those of you that know him, I think you’ll agree. He slams, stuffs, bangs, and flogs his car within an inch of its life. With that being said, I’d like to maintain that he does this with total respect and with mechanical sympathy. He just simply drives his car as it should be driven … HARD. The car looks like a heavy hitter and will have the performance to match. All this gear-stuffing fun is possible with a nicely laid out grocery list of parts–names like Tremec, DSS, Moser, ProCharger, and Aeromotive to name only a few. Be on the lookout for more details as this ex-Kansas Highway Patrol car gets back on the streets with some killer intentions.
