Thinking about modeling for the HOUSE of BOOST?

As a rule of thumb, we’re pretty laid back here at the HOB and we’ll do our best to make sure your photo shoot is a chance for you to get some great modeling experience and have some major fun!

All the shoots will be held in the Kansas City area and locations will vary depending on the weather, time of day, and availability of member cars. Models’ wardrobes will be dependent upon the weather and availability as well. Most shoots will both start/wrap over the weekend to make scheduling and travel easier. Transportation and lodging can be discussed during your initial consultation, and will vary depending on your departure city.

Will I get exposure?

Yes, the HOB has high-performance vehicles featured in multiple nationally-distributed magazines, sold at nearly every grocery store, convenience outlet, and book retailer across the country. Houseofboost.com generates national exposure reaching the general public, magazine editors, and everything in between. When you add the growth of the HOB name through advertising on various car-industry forums and message boards to the buzz already created by a only a mere dozen members at the launch of the site, there’s no telling what the next year will bring for the HOUSE of BOOST! Though we won’t list any personal information about our models without explicit permission, for those who are trying gain experience and build up their portfolios, modeling for the HOB is a perfect opportunity to get noticed.

Will I get copies or prints of my photos?

The HOB will present you with a CD with all of your hot digital photographs (in JPEG format). We can also provide photo retouching of the digital files for portfolio or personal use at no charge and will provide prints on request. Prints will be done on an as-needed basis due to the cost and production time for output though.

Will my photos be accessible?

You will also get your own area on the HOB website to host high resolution photos that can be forwarded to whomever you wish, along with your stats and HOB interview information. After your shoot wraps, we will present you with a CD with all of your digital photographs (in JPEG format), and can provide photo retouching of the digital files for portfolio or personal use at no charge to you.

Will I get paid?

At this time the HOUSE of BOOST is not a profit-building website–we technically lose money every month in hosting and design fees, and so at this time we do not have the ability to pay standard modeling fees. The site is simply a means of showcasing high performance automobile creations and will hopefully be a springboard for young models to help them get national exposure. What you will get out of an HOB photo shoot however, are professional-quality photographs, photo retouching by Blue Elephant Design, website space and bandwidth to display your stats and photos, and national modeling exposure.

Will there be more opportunities to model for the HOB in the future?

The HOB will also be developing a clothing line over the next several months. As the line grows, we will be hiring models and representatives to help display and sell the products on location at various industry shows and events, in order to gain exposure for the website. We will usually only be attending events in the St.Louis and Kansas City areas.
