1993 Turbocharged Toyota Supra
(photos by EA)

“It all began with the matchbox Dukes of Hazard charger that began my life-long dream of owning a fast car. I started off my adventure with the 'ol 5.0 Mustang in high school that turned a neck-snapping 14.07 @ 88 mph. Well, that wasn't good enough so of course I met Mr. Nitrous Oxide. Wow, now I skip 13's and go straight to a 12.41 @114 mph. Impressive? NO!!!

So here we are seven years later–street racing is getting more competitive and the cars are far more advanced. I sat down and thought about the options of what I could buy that would be sporty, reliable, gets good fuel mileage, and of course, is fast. Several hours later I made my final choice … a 93.5 twin turbo Toyota supra.

You're probably thinking “typical rich, trash-talking, punk kid that can go right out and purchase a relatively expensive piece of machinery.” Well … that's where your wrong! I bought it for myself to meet my goals, not to try and own the streets of KC and argue about who's the fastest. I am a “you will win and you will lose” type of guy. Working a full time job and two part time jobs, I have done what I have always dreamed of doing: I created something that exceeded all my expectations.

After adding a fuel system and a 72mm single turbo kit I decided to head to MC Racing for some dyno numbers. With the help from Matt and Nick we managed to squeeze out 610 RWHP and 513 FT LBS of torque without nitrous and 725 RWHP and 557 FT LBS of torque with a 100 shot of nitrous through the unlocked 4500 stall converter and stock transmission. Now it's time to hit the track!!! After a few passes on boost only I was happy with the 10.80 @ 124 mph and decided to try the nitrous. Man was I in for something never expected. A whopping 10.003 @ 140 mph … unbelievable. Now that I have met a goal in my life I would like to share with you some of the characters of my creation.”
